Sun Moon Lake （日月潭） - Visiting to SyuanGuang Temple （玄光寺）, Taiwan

Part 2 of Road Trip to Nan Tou (南投), Taiwan

Continued our road trip from the Bakery to Sun Moon Lake （日月潭）, Brother Zhang leave us at Shuishe Pier (水社码头) which also known as Sun Moon Lake Pier (日月潭码头). We waited Ice Hippo to buy us the Lake Cruise's (码头游艇) tickets to enjoy the sight seeing and well known temple. :)

- A stamp for each guest -

Each adult ticket cost NTD300 and whoever going for the lake cruise will be stamped, without the stamp shown, no one is allowed to go for the lake cruise. So we took a picture of all of our stamped ARMs! :) Do you know which one is mine? ;P

- The Lake View from Shuishe Pier （水社码头/ 日月潭码头）-

A short walking distance that all of us need to walk before we go in to the right Cruise. :)

- That's Ours! -

The Lake Cruise crew required us to enter the Golden coloured Boat namely 日月之星二号 (Sun and Moon Star No. 2) , while during the lake cruise (before we stopped at the wharf of SyuenGuang Temple （玄光寺）), they introduced us the landmarks which can be seen along the lake and they even sell Owl Necklace to tourists as an ornament of protection and guardian of a person. Fukurou/ Owl is a symbol of good luck to them. :)

- Saw that golden pillar over the building? -

The pillar is made of GOLD!! If I'm not mistaken, it is a hotel at Sun Moon Lake.

- Arrived at the Wharf -

Crowded with people. Gosh! And everyone will take the hiking trail to reach Syuanguang Temple.

Sun Moon Lake area is so huge which consist of few temple and path way for hiking. I mean when there's a stair, that's for hiking purpose. Good environment for a walk.

- 阿麽之古早味 - 香菇茶叶蛋 (Ah Ma's Recipe of Mushroom Herbal Egg) -

They told us that the Herbal Eggs was good and yup! It was GOOD!! :) Everyone must try it and they were selling like hot cakes.

- Native Artists -

One of them looks cute. :) And I like their costume and their vocal.

Nice performance right? They are there to learn for a living and I love their voice. It was a loss that I didn't buy any of their records for remembrance. :( If I manage to visit Sun Moon Lake again, I will buy their CD! :)

- Hiking Trail to SyuanGuang Temple （玄光寺） -

We had a walk for a while to reach the temple which located at the top. Along the path way, it was just green with trees and it just cleared a bit of our mind. Stop by and take some photos with the green background.

- Arrived at SyuenGuang Temple -

A perfect view of Sun Moon Lake from up there. Awesome and beautiful view right? I simply love scenery traveling kind of vacation besides.... SHOPPING!

- 拉鲁岛 (Lalu Island) -

Located at the middle of Sun Moon Lake and actually it was man made island. Once it was opened for the public to step on it, however, it was closed since an serious incident occured.

As written :

" The front of Syuanguang Temple affords a fine view of Sun Moon Lake. Lalu Island （拉鲁岛） is clearly visible, as are all of the sights around the lake- the lovely hills of the Hanbi Peninsula and the Lalu hotel on its flank, and scenes near Shuenshe Village such as the Christian Church （耶稣堂）, Plum Lotus Garden （梅荷园）, Shuenshe Pier （水社码头）, and Jhaowu Pier （朝雾码头）. Passing tourist craft tie up expanding waves of ripples, adding a bit of movement to the picture-postcard beauty of the lake and the green mountains that surround it. "

- The Main Entrance of （玄光寺） -

A long introduction about the history of the temple that I found from Sun Moon Lake's website.

" Syuanguang Temple, located around 2.5 kilometers from Xuanzang Temple, was built around 1955. The relics of the Buddhist monk Xuanzang are enshrined here. Xuanzang was a famous Tang Dynasty Buddhist monk. By order of the Tang emperor, he was sent to India to seek Buddhist scriptures.

After more than 10 years, he returned to China, bringing back more than 650 sutras, and together with his disciples, he translated 75 of these. He also acquired 1,335 scrolls. His efforts made great contributions to the spread of Buddhism in China. During the war between China and Japan, a Japanese person managed to acquire a fragment of Master Syuanzang’s bones from Nanjing. It was taken to Ci'en Temple in Japan’s Saitama Prefecture, where it was enshrined. In 1952, this piece of bone was brought to Taiwan, and after Syuanguang Temple was built at Sun Moon Lake in 1958, Master Syuanzang’s bone piece was placed there and enshrined.

This temple lies between Sun Lake and Moon Lake. Inside is a golden idol of Master Syuanzang, above which is written, “Great National Scholar”. A wharf has been built by to the waters, with its back to the mountains. " - Source

- Stone Carving -

Many tourists were there and queuing for their turn to take a photo with the Stone, I did not wait for my turn, however I just took my photo with it behind. :P (That's a trick to prevent from long queue.)

We had a walk and enjoyed ourselves with photography and the beautiful scenery and off we go to return to the wharf to the next tourist spot at Sun Moon Lake. FYI, beside SyuanGuang Temple, there are some other temples to be visit to, if we have more time with more hiking. :)

- Mascot Buddies were there! -

For those who haven't meet them, view from Left to Right - Meet Bunny, PomPom, Meatball Turtle and Doggie. :) Ice Hippo didn't make it to Sun Moon Lake, her owner (the foot) left her unaccompanied at the hotel while that's the arms of Carlos L. (the one who don't have a mascot :S)

Returned to the wharf and headed to the next place,

- Jiu Ju Cultural Village （九族文化村） through Sun Moon Lake Ropeway （日月潭缆车） -

Another way beside by road, we could opt for ropeway from the Lake to reach Jiu Ju Cultural Village. From what I have understood, Jiu Ju can also be known as a theme park which inclusive of Taiwan native culture that will be shown to all. Anyway, because of time constrain and inadvisable comments for tourists like us, we didn't visit Jiu Ju.

Hello and Bye to United Buddy Bears in Malaysia!

I would like say Hello to United Buddy Bears (UBB) before they leave, unfortunately they will be leaving Malaysia on the 15th February 2012 and that's a sad thing that I am unable to catch up with them during my coming trip to KL. :(

I have read about it and saw friends were sharing their photos with UBB and those Bears interest me much. :) A blogger namely Calista was asking anyone that "Which is the favourite country to you?" at one of the social media page one day and I had commented that "Italy" as the first choice, and after she posted about UUB then I know what she was up to.(Interesting post Calista and thank you for featuring me there) :)

- United Buddy Bears at Pavilion KL -

"Under this motto, the UNITED BUDDY BEARS promote living together in peace and harmony on their global tour. Around 140 Buddy Bears (each 2 m tall) represent as many countries recognised by the United Nations.

A very good way to raise funds to the needy and promote the "Hand in Hand" concept.

CNY Visiting & Sabahan BLOGGERS Day Out!

And not Girls Night Out! :D

It was a last minute decision to gather together while Sherrie (Cutebun) from Sarawak who was born in Sabah (If I'm not mistaken) is here. And I think most of you who has been following my blog will recognise all of THEM! :)

But before I share about my last Saturday with all the bloggers, my 7th Day of CNY was nice and this year, I did something extraordinary compared with previous years... I went to friends' house for visiting for the FIRST TIME and 4 houses (It would be 5 including mine in the list) all in a row from 12.00pm to 6.00pm. (*_*) It was interesting and fun! Hence, it was actually also the FIRST time having my friends (the first badge) visiting to my house. :P

- At my house : All of them were my hostel mates during my Advanced Diploma course at TARC KL -

As Diana had posted about our happening visiting to all the houses, why don't you all read about it HERE! Next year guys, let's do it AGAIN! :D

She is here now and going to leave KK on the 8th. :) A mutual decision via Twitter and we had our casual lunch at Part Play Lifestyle Cafe, one of the cafe that I love to chill and for the first time with other bloggers I love! So, now you know who are close to me! :D

I had Surprised Egg Pasta while Hayden a.k.a Chan had Thai Style Tom Yum Fish. And the best part was the dessert he had was SO GOOD!

- Borneo Fashion Festival Kota Kinabalu 2012 -

After we had our lunch and it was time to go for a movie at Suria Sabah, however, we cancelled the plan and went to watch the Borneo Fashion Festival instead for.... 20 minutes. -_- Nice designs by local designers for sure. :)

The end of the Fashion Festival and what did we do next? Another afternoon tea session at Le Safran to continue with our chit chat AGAIN before going home! ;) And guess what? They came to my house on Sunday for afternoon tea session aka visiting session and filled them with freshly prepared Hainanese Tea by my mom and local delicacies by my dad! Nice hospitality eh.. :)

There's so many first time in this entry of mine. :P Anyway, maybe we should go out once in a while to get us updated with each other. :) Nice to meet you all in real life! They are such an awesome friends in real life. :)

Experiencing Star Cruises - Superstar Gemini for the first time!

Something unexpected happens to be at my house today :), some bloggers were at my house for a nice Hainanese Teh C session! :D So yea...Okay~ Now ->

Part 1 of Star Cruises Trip with Superstar Gemini (SSG).

:) I have mentioned before that I will re-write all those lousy travel entries which I have written before and now, this is one of the trip that I suppose to rewrite. :P

The first trip with Star Cruises - Superstar Gemini (SSG) for 5 Days 4 Nights back in Year 2008, it was also my first visit to other country (ie. Thailand) too. :) Thus, it was the amazing vacation with treatment like princess (VIP) inside SSG. *Awesomeness* And FYI, I would love to take up a cruise vacation again someday! :)

Which we went through that 5 days with. Great food and great hospitality.

The cruise ship which we will be on our above sea vacation all the way from Port Klang - Penang - Krabi - Phuket - Krabi - Langkawi and all the way back to Port Klang.

The view outside was so nice whereby I could see the next destination along the sea and that's when we were almost reaching that place ofcourse. ;)

- It was time for buffet dinner -

Various food prepared for guests - sushi, grilled lamb shoulder, desserts and others, the blue cheese was nice with a little portion served with crackers.

Leaving the jetty and towards the open sea, we saw various factories along Port Klang.

After we had our dinner and shower, we went to the entertainment hall for show and short briefing by the crew for our plan on the next day/ next destination. What was good by attending the briefing was, the crew provided us useful information regarding the cab charges (ie approximate charges to get a cab for free and easy tour) and a few local tours (in group and packages offered by the cruise) that guests would like to took up upon arrival at the next destination and et cetera.

A good night sleep after that whole day and the next day......

- I saw the city when I woke up!! -

I was excited to see we were getting closer to our next destination... Had my early bath and waa laa!

They love Welcome Seafood Restaurant （大茄来海鲜餐厅）, K.K.

This restaurant is not a new one in town and I expect most of us already went there for a lunch/ dinner. :)

As for me as well, it was not my first visit to Welcome Seafood Restaurant (大茄来海鲜餐厅), KK main city Branch. Previously, I have visited the main restaurant which located at Penampang twice. The way they prepared their dishes were just similar.

In case you are wondering later, today's photos shared are combination of two different visits to that restaurant.

- Welcome Seafood Restaurant (大茄来海鲜餐厅) -

It's been a trend for us (local KKians and even tourists) that Welcome Seafood Restaurant are serving well in terms of their seafood that are fresh and consumer paid with reasonably cheap compared with other seafood restaurant in town. However, frankly speaking, it is a nice place to have seafood with cheaper price, however I may not completely favour all the dishes they are serving, it's way too commercialize. :/ In facts, too much customer may result overcooking the fresh fishes. FYI, I'm not that picky though, even a friend of mine even have the same thoughts as mine when we talked about the restaurant.

- Lime Juice -

I like this one, with the sweet and sour flavour of the beverage, it's refreshing.

- Fish Mow Soup -

It tasted okay that nothing I could shout out about, if compared with the one I tried from Shangri-la Hotel, Tanjung Aru, the hotel served so much better and of course the price is so much expensive. (Supporting the campaign of "Say NO to Shark Fin!")

- Longevity Noodles （长寿面）-

It taste weird which I don't recommend this one, except for the prawns which look fresh in that image.

- Butter Prawns （奶油虾）-

Quite a good one, with the large prawn and the reasonable salty flavour.

- Mongolian Chicken （蒙古鸡）-

Taste okay as part of the dished we were having that night.

- SABAH Vegetables -

It is a must have if you manage to visit Sabah. :) I like this one with the chunky/ crunchy bites.

- Steamed Prawns -

- Seafood Toufu -

I do love to eat Seafood Toufu. :)

And that's the end of my review about the restaurant. ;)

By the way, today is the 12th Anniversary of Kota Kinabalu been declared as City. Happy birthday KK! :) Wishing you peace and harmony as always.

iBuy Famous Cakes from Oldest Bakery @ Taiwan 一福堂老店, 南投

Part 1 of Road Trip to Nan Tou (南投), Taiwan.

While we were on our way to Sun Moon Lake （日月潭）, Brother Zhang (our driver) brought us to Taiwan well known bakery at Nan Tou area. While I was surfing the internet searching for some information about this bakery, I have found out that there were few other branches which located at Taichung City too! :) However, I think it is not as large as the bakery that we had visited that day.

- The Logo -

The Logo of 一福堂老店 (Yi Fu Tang Lao Dian) which attached outside the building and I bet every tourists/ visitors will sees it while they are on their way to Sun Moon Lake and 九族文化村 (Jiu Ju Cultural Village).

Next destination was Sun Moon Lake!

Within two hours, I met so many tourists in groups from other Asian countries such as China and Hong Kong, I'm sure their itinerary includes the bakery as one of their visiting place.

- 天下第一酥 -

I assumed that the bakery is the first and oldest on at Taiwan. :) We entered the building and managed to took some photos of what I found it interesting and best seller of cakes. The above is the favourite spot where most/ all of the tourists might want to have their photo shooting with.

- The moulds -

Various moulding board attached on the wall and all of them are quite interesting of all kinds of patterns, big or small. No, those attached are used 'for decoration purpose and people doesn't walk to the wall and pick whichever they want to use for their next products. :P

- It's time to choose cakes and cookies! -

One corner of the products being presented and person in charge will introduced all kinds of cakes and cookies to their customers and varieties of tester for us to try! :D

- Various choices of snacks and cakes as souvenirs to friends and family -

- 鲜奶太阳饼 (Xian Nai Tai Yang Bing) -

Direct translation would be Milky Sun Cookie. It taste soft and filling. It is a good selection as souvenirs to others, which most friends who came back will bring us this. I like this one and I did bought some for the office too, especially for my Boss with nice packaging designed box.

- 招牌柠檬饼 (Zao Pai Ning Mong Bing) -

The "Signature Lemon Cake", the texture of the cake is soft and taste.. still okay with sweet and lemon-ed flavour, combination of cake's texture, the person in charge recommended us to chill it before consuming and keep them inside the refrigerator. The cake would be nice if consume it together with a cup of coffee or tea during the afternoon. :)

10 of us bought various cakes/ souvenirs and the benefits purchased from 一福堂老店(the bakery), they even have the transportation service of packing and sending the purchased items to our staying place a.k.a. the service apartment that we were living and we don't need to bring our goods through out the day trip.

Time consuming in the end and off we go to the next destination - Sun Moon Lake!

A very short introduction about Sun Moon Lake... I like the scenery and the native people there! However, that place was way to crowded with tourists and I felt miserable when those people were not that friendly and the whole place was NOISY!!! :(

It's Beautiful Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ The King, Liverpool, UK

Metropolitan Catheral of Christ the King is located behind the University I was pursuing my studies back in Year 2008. It is also known as the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Liverpool, Merseyside, England.

A large one and from what I have understood, their interior design is beautiful too. :)

One, Two and Three - My Days with CNY Dragon Year!

It means that this post is dedicated for my three days of amazing CNY "honeymoon" enjoying in town.

Seven days in a row, including clearing my leaves, public holidays and forced leave on the third day of CNY are finally over, I just love the holiday where we could just stay at home doing nothing, meeting up friends and others. What a life that most of the working people would like to have and IT IS UNREALISTIC!!

I'm gonna roughly point out a few important issues that I was involved/ managed to experience. :) Here goes...

Day 1 - 23rd Jan, 2012

- Fireworks at 12.00am -

When the clock strike 12.00am, the neighbourhood and other housing areas blew the fireworks and played the firecrackers even exceeded the usual amount which we normally had. It was like fireworks war out there. (O_o)

Besides, my neighbour was playing it for the past four days with unlimited supplies I guess. Somehow, I still heard the fireworks sound even after 1.00am.

- Fireworks -

Amazing view doesn't it? I took those shots infront of my house.

Fireworks beautified the sky, but polluted the air and the environment, recall "the sound pollution"?. :S (FYI, I'M NOT AGAINST FIREWORKS) It was all over Kota Kinabalu and the same applied to other places too. And you know what? The scariest matter is, there was one man aged 26 got his head blew off because of fireworks that he thought was not functioning, and it happended during midnight when his family were happily welcoming the new year. My gosh. :(

- Temple at 9.00am -

We went to the temple at 9.00am and less crowd compared with the later crowd.

Day 2

- Long Table -

Mom bought two new tables to extend the existing one from this year CNY and other occasions. Therefore, guests could enjoy my dad/ mom's Hainanese Teh C at the long table comfortably from now on. :)

- Cooperative mom added on her baskets collection to spice up my photo shoots at home -

- First Guests : My cousins family members in the morning -

They even had wine at 10.00am. -__-

Day 3

- Friends Gathering (the second in a day) -

The third day of CNY, it's a norms that gathering will be held during the third day of CNY. Anyway, luckily I was having forced leave from my boss (positive way of thinking :D) It's been a day with friends which most of us might only seeing each other once in a year. Good practice or maybe no? I have been to two Upperstar branches today, first at Suria Sabah and the second (above) at Lintas.

The end for this CNY of mine, that completes my kind of CNY this year, nothing much to shout out about, it was just a normal one I'm having. :) How about yours? :)

Next, back to work on the fourth day and..... food and travel entries back to normal! :)

Happy Chinese New Year to friends, family and non the less, my readers! :)

Finally I have bought my Domain name and from now on, this blog will be identified as http://www.meitzeu.com and no more http://withinmeitzeu.blogspot.com. Say bye bye to blogspot.com, you had served me well for the past few years and you may need to serve me in that name for one or two pending posts later. Thank you.

So the day before first day of CNY, it's CHINESE NEW YEAR EVE!! Yeah! :D

How's your CNY eve? I had my Reunion Dinner around 6.00pm and the whole day was occupied with house chores (as usual Sunday) and dyed my hair with liese, this time is Sweet Almond, online and waited till 12.00 am, which indirectly informing you that this post is a scheduled one! :) Those firecrackers and fireworks at my housing area are like having war, blasting here and day since afternoon, I bet 12.00am, the sky will be so much beautified! :D

So now, sharing the photos I managed to took at house in the evening, the preparation et cetera..

A night when all the family members from near and far gathered together for reunion once in a year. A night for laughter and cherish with them. DO REMEMBER to keep away thattt.... smartphone you are holding, we are too busy with them. haha :D

- The 压岁钱 (Direct translate: New Year's Money)!! -

Me and my sisters received our red packets from our parents on the eve of CNY . :) If you want to know more about the myth of the New Year's money, do google it. ;)

- My bling-ed nails -

Went for manicure and pedicure the day before CNY eve and the beauty centre was busy since morning which me and meatball need to wait for a while before our turn (even we have pre-booked it). This is my second time went to the saloon for mani and pedi. :P

- Night Market at Lido, Kota Kinabalu -

I only went to Lido and Foh Sang, the town area will be so packed with people. (0_0) It's a norms since earlier days when it is CNY. On the day before CNY eve, the public here will automatically visit to any of/ all the night markets which held around town (Sinsuran, Foh Sang, Lido) to enjoy the crowds and doing that last minute shopping, even the mall will be operating until 12.00am. :) How about Semenanjung? Do they have such?

Hey, it's Chinese New Year Eve people, wish you have a great one! :)

If you have read about my New Year entry previously, you will noticed that I have prepared mashed potatoes for my family and friends and this entry is my first recipe post after so long since Year 2008 (o_o"). Each time when I'm eating mashed potatoes or preparing mashed potatoes, it reminds me of my sweet time while I was pursuing studies in UK, I will prepare the dinner with mashed potatoes and pasta together with my friends assistance to speed up the preparation. :)

Ingredients for 10 person :

Potatoes are essential (8 pieces), two pinches of Salt, 1 tablespoon of oil, Salted Butter, Milk (whichever preferred), a slice of cheese (optional), pepper and a folk to mash the cooked potatoes.

- Potatoes @ 8 pieces -

Personally, I prefer using imported potatoes and Australian Potatoes were the only imported one which I could find when I visited the grocery during the day before. Such a large potatoes I have bought.

I cut it into 4 slices each potatoes to speed up the time of potatoes to became cooked.

- Boiling Potatoes -

Water level that covered the sliced potatoes were perfect to monitor its progress while cooking!

Reminder! Don't forget to add in 2 pinches of SALT and the 1 tablespoon of OIL into the boiling water. Interestingly, the potatoes or the spaghetti being boiled/ cooked that way will make them taste better.

When the boiling water became yellowish, I used a knife to cut the potatoes to make sure it was fully cooked. Once it was cooked, switch off the gas stove and pour away the used water.

- The Cheese, The Butter and the Milk -

Mash the potatoes by using FOLK, added in 1/6 of the SALTED BUTTER and a few pinch of SALT (or added in later/ in the end if the mashed potatoes doesn't suit your taste buds) while the potatoes were still warm/ hot.

Switch on the GAS STOVE and turn it in to slow cooking/ low fire mode, add in MILK (I used half pack of it and added in a little portion for few times) while the pot of mashed potatoes being cooked once again, DO make sure the mashed potatoes won't burned while making it hot again, MILK is important to make the mashed potatoes texture taste better. :) The more you add, the smoother it will be, HOWEVER, too much milk will be overdone.

And... WALLA!!

- My version of MASHED POTATOES -

Freshly cooked mashed potatoes. :) Turn off the gas and sprinkle the pepper (I used Black Pepper here) in to it to give it a less "bored" taste while consume it later, even stirring it before serving the guests will taste good!

Optional : A slice of cheese can be added too to spice up the mashed potatoes, even if we doesn't add in, it won't be a problem which the mashed potatoes still taste perfectly good.

For a healthier cooking method, eliminate the cheese and reduce the amount of butter.

- Serving the Guests -

In facts, the potatoes were huge and I have prepared 2 large of mashed potatoes which in the end, all of us can't managed to finish them at one time while we have various tempting food to eat! No matter what, they agreed that the mashed potatoes taste scrumptious and we finished them after a few days.

LOL! My colleagues doesn't believe that I can cook though, which I'm lazy to explain that much too. :P Now you know I can cook besides preparing the instant noodles with egg.

Breakfast at 满点速食早餐, Feng Jia, TaiChung, Taiwan

Part 4 (Last) of Feng Jia-Chia, Taichung. :)

The day which we were going to start our day trip far from Feng Jia to Sun Moon Lake, the well known cake house/ souvenir shops while we were on our way and at the same time, some sight seeing too.

But before we started our day, BREAKFAST will be the first thing we had in mind and we must leave Feng Jia at 10.30am to start our fun trips with the transportation service we had hired! And you know what? There was only one place we could have our breakfast and especially it is located near to the guest room we lived. FYI, restaurants there normally opens later in the afternoon (11.00am as a norms) or in the evening, in fact it's depends on the location too.

- Feng Jia Shoplots -

We met our guest room's owner, Mr. Chiou at the breakfast place and he told us that the breakfast served was okay and okay it may seen. Found some seats and ordered our local breakfast just like others.

- 满点速食早餐 (Direct translation : Full Dots Express Breakfast) -

Where we were having our breakfast at the walk way of operating shops in the evening.

- The Menu of 满点速食早餐 -

The various Sandwiches, Fried Noodles, Beverages, theomelet, Bacon and others for your to fill our hunger before we started our day.

In fact, Taiwanese breakfast consist of high calories, and of course we need to depends on which restaurants/ cafes we visited.

And now, all of these were the breakfast we had!

-Vegetables Theomelet （蔬菜蛋饼）-

I never come across the word "theomelet" before, until I went google-ing in its Chinese words (lol). *geleng kepala*

Their theomelet was okay as I have tried a few pieces and sharing the whole plate with friends too.

- 鲜奶茶 (Fresh Milky Tea) -

Taiwanese Bubble Teas are awesome and as well as theirs! Is a must try when we visit Taiwan. :)

- 炒面蛋 (Fried Noodle with Eggs) -

I finished the whole plate of noodle and it was just nice for an individual portion and most of all - REASONABLE!! Conversion approximately NTD 10 = RM1.00, it's only RM3.80! :)

- Breakfast on the second day -

Since we had breakfast there before, might as well we had another breakfast again at the same place and it was the nearest and easiest spot we could have our breakfast before we leave Feng Jia to Taipei.

- Mountains that we saw -

We were on our way to Nantou (南投), our nice diver - Mr. Zhang told us a short introduction about that mountain whereby the mountain named 100 mountains or 99 mountains which formed after the earthquake years ago, I can't recall it and even I googled ups and downs, I just can't find the name of that mountains and there's a whole long lists of mountains at Taiwan. (OMG).

That's breakfast for us before we start our journey, stay tuned for the next Taiwan entries of mine! :)

Chunky Fish Noodle by Tung Fong Sea Food Restaurant （东风海鲜饭店）, Inanam, Sabah

The shortest post that I could complete within a day/ hours - Food post. :D

It's been quite a while that I'm putting effort for days to complete a destination posts if you could understand, it wasn't easy to complete a post with so much information to be shared either, drafting those words and what so ever. Indeed I'm serious towards blogging. ;)

Okay, back to one of the pending entries. Before I've visited Tung Fong Sea Food Restaurant, Meatballonline was praising quite a lot about it and I was looking forward to visit it personally.

- Tung Fong Sea Food Restaurant -

It's my turn to have a morning breakfast with my parents and meatballonline during one Saturday morning.

- Braised Fish Fillet （焖鱼）*Recommended* -

The gravy was good, the deep fried fish fillets were chunky and the whole dish served with a hint of chilli flavour and that's really good. I kept eating the gravy with the fish fillets while having my Kon Lou Rice Vermicelli.

- Mixed Fish Soup （鱼杂）*Recommended * -

Such a HUGE bowl for 4 of us and finished it in such a short time, which... I took only a small bowl of it, imagine how it taste with those mixed fish of different part, especially with good fish type. *My Gosh*

I'm hungry while I'm typing this. -_- And I still can feel the texture of the braised fish fillet.

- My Plate of Rice Vermicelli -

FYI, the restaurant do serve other kind of noodles too! :) Which I prefer rice vermicelli in fact.

From Tuaran/ Inanam towards KK City. Turn left at the junction (before) when we saw a Shell petrol station, there's a signboard beside the road that we could see from the roadside. Drive further, we could see a restaurant which crowded with customers. :)

Now, about Tenom...

I still remember that I have visited Tenom with my family when I was much younger back then. Once again, sometime around August last year, I have visited Tenom again and this time was with Terence's family for a day trip while at the same time, visited his mother's side of the family there.

First, we have traveled for approximately 2 1/2 - 3 hours from Kota Kinabalu to Tenom (bypass Papar Road) and went to Terence relatives' house for a visit, lunch and visited the well known Agricultural Park of Sabah.

- Taman Pertanian Sabah / Sabah Agriculture Park -

I was looking forward to it when they said they wanted to bring me there. :) Years ago (during Diploma) I was introduced about it when my friend was presenting about the well known park of his hometown, Tenom.

- The Entrance Fee -

Entrance fee are required as the fees collected will be used to maintain the park for us to enjoy.

"Taman seluas 200 hektar ini merupakan sebuah "Taman Ilmu" yang menawarkan pendidikan dan aktiviti rekreasi yang dikendalikan oleh Jabatan Pertanian Sabah." - Taman Pertanian Sabah

Translation :

" As large as 200 hectors, the Park is known as the "Park of Knowledge" whereby it offers learning and recreation activities which manage by Sabah Agriculture Departments" - Sabah Agricultural Park

Within 200 hectors, the Park consists of 7 main categories which namely Taman Hiasan (Decorative Garden), Muzium Tanaman (Plant Museum), Taman Haiwan (Animal Park), Taman Model (Module Park), Taman Evolusi (Evolution Garden), Muzium Pusat Lebah (Bee Museum) and Orkid Asli (Wild Orchids Garden).

- The Transportation -

That's how I know about the importance of that transportation after the whole (most of the park division) Park being explored by us in the end. I almost can't felt my feet, we walked so much and the whole park is sooooo huge and yet, so much to interesting flora and fauna to see!

So here goes some my photos of Sabah Agriculture Park that I've took! ;)

- Decorative Garden -

We didn't hop on to the "train" while it was overload with people earlier and it was such a waste if we were standing there and waited for the next train to arrive. We walked slowly to one of the garden nearby and walked further.

Decorative Garden consists of 21 Gardens in it, such as National Flower Garden, Ixora Flower Garden, Cactus Garden and etc.

- Cactus Garden -

- They called it Sabah Fruit -

Which is non eatable.

- The Lake -

It is one of the recreation place that the public could kayak or paddling at the pond. Besides kayaking, we could rent a bicycle to cycle around the Park. Quite an interesting Park for young and adults.

- Animal Park -

I saw deers, monkeys, peacocks, Ostriches and other animals too. No tigers or Giraffes by the way. :D

- The map -

- Carnivorous Plant Garden -

Nepenthes plant is one of the carnivorous plant as we could see. Quite a number of Nepenthes species that I saw when I was there. Interesting.

- Hybrid Orchids Garden -

I love Hybrid Orchids Garden which is more colourful compared to others. Orchids were blooming every where!

- Wild Orchids Garden -

Besides hybrid Orchids, we shall not forget about the origin of its kind. :)

As referred to the leaflet on my hand now, the Orchids Centre is being qualified as one of the Orchids collection centre in Borneo which actively conserving Orchids species. Approximately 400 species out of 1,500 species in Borneo can be found in the Orchids Centre which includes some endangered species too.

How lucky that I could see them personally when I was there. :)

- Man made pond -

They said the leaf could carry a baby on it. :D

We were there for hours and managed to visit most of the Garden there and in the end, we hop on to the train and that's when we ended our Sabah Agriculture Park visit at the main entrance. :) Interesting and gained some knowledge during the visit though. :)

That's all for Tenom entry. Besides the Park which is recommended to be visited, I have been understood that there is a Cultural Village too! FYI, the Origin of Murut tribe was from Tenom. :)

Finally day trip to Tenom has ended after my visiting to Terence's relative house again. :)

Prawn Noodles at Red Leaf Restaurant & Cafe, Jln Loke Yew, KL

Hey Hey!! Back to the LAST pending post since May 2011... Finally. :P

Before we headed to Malacca, we took a cab from KL for our road trip to Malacca. And while we were on our way to Malacca, Uncle Taxi did brought us and treat us breakfast at the wellknown Prawn Noodles Hawker Stall located at Red Leaf Restaurant & Cafe, Jalan Loke Yew.

And Yes. It is delicious.

- Prawn Noodles -

The Uncle Taxi talked so much about his past and non the less, praising the prawn noodle that he always brought his customer for a try and also to other hawker stalls around town.

- Prawn Noodles -

With the well done soup base, the whole bowl of prawn noodles was perfect. :) Not too spicy either.

Besides prawn noodles, they do have other hawker stalls serving various Chinese type of breakfast too!

So yea~ We had a short breakfast before we were late to catch up with the traffic jam on our way to Malacca. :)

If you manage to pass by Jalan Loke Yew, I think we should have a try of the prawn noodles. A good one indeed.

A short trip to further place from town, we could find so much special kind of foods!

iBUY & iEAT!! At Feng-Chia Night Market (逢甲观光夜市), TaiChung, Taiwan

Part 3 of Feng-Chia, Taichung!

After a short rest at the hotel from our afternoon sight seeing, it's time for another walk at the well known and the largest night market in Feng-Chia.

Feng-Chia Night Market (逢甲观光夜市)

Over and over again, I have been emphasizing that Taiwan is famous for their small eateries which found most from night markets and non the less, the fashion with reasonably cheap, no wonder clothes sellers love to go Taiwan to purchase their goods (low cost = high income - somehow, they could even earn more than 200% when they bring back to Malaysia) . :) Moreover, I show online shops that have the actual outlets too!

- The Night Market -

It is a norm to see pets running around, most Taiwanese are pet lovers and I MEANT IT! Both of the dogs were running towards the motorist (which I presume both of it know the man). And mentioned about motorists, OHMYGOSH! I was freak out with their driving method, no left nor right direction, they were all over the places! 0_0

- Random shot at the night market -

The hotel we were staying was above the night market, therefore, it is so near to have a walk around there. Comparison between the day and the night were totally different, more crowds of young and old came to the night market since evening. The crowd behind me were the crowd during 6.00pm, you might not want to know how many people were in the crowds when it is getting late.

- Welcome to Feng-Chia Night Market (逢甲观光夜市) -

The first night we were there walking and shopping in a group, however, we were lost during second night. Blame those shopping and so many interesting stuffs to see that attracts Icehippo's owner! (lol) I think both night we walked until 12.00am and my back was freaking pain and all those sticky sweat during summer night that I have experienced was just bad.

Here are the night market shots taken by me and my sister's friend, Carlos L., do enjoy them and imagine those FOODs I have came across with. :P (I always make people hungry what?) 90% are recommended eateries in Taiwan.

- The crowds -

- Those Korean Fried Cakes were SPICY!!! -

- The famous : Big Sausage cover small sausage (Direct translation of 大肠包小肠) -

Frankly speaking, I do not favour much of oily and fried foods (once in a while can la....) That sausage included bamboo shoots (Taiwanese love them and it was bamboo shoots season) in it, which it is a big NO NO for me. HOWEVER, buy one and try if you visit Taiwan. Sausage is a MUST TRY! :D Doggie's owner ate everyday, she just love sausages!

- The famous : 台湾卤味 (Taiwan Marinade Food) -

It is one of the famous food in Taiwan where we could find it in any night markets. I don't like how it look, but I have tried some of the normal one (which looks normal to me), they taste okay for me.

- I found Malaysia Satay （马来西亚沙爹）-

I wonder did the seller visit Malaysia before. I didn't try the satays though. :) And I saw it says pork? Hmm. :/

- The famous : Salted Chicken （盐水鸡) (Left) -

- The famous : 无骨炸鸡排 (Boneless Chicken Chop) -

I kind of like this one, it is similar size with the chicken pop corn by KFC. Small bites that I didn't felt disgust with.

- The famous : Steam Meat Buns (水蒸包) -

I like this! A normal one that I love. :)

In conclusion, our taste buds and culture are so much different with Taiwanese. That's they lifestyle and not ours, but wait, I didn't say all of us don't like. I'm one of them in minority. :P

- It's shopping time! -

Fashionable dresses and accessories. :) Imported goods. Wow! It is a shopping heaven in Taiwan. Something you must know, they say shopping from Taichung is cheaper compared to Taipei. I wonder how true is that and IceHippo said she love shopping at Taichung while I'm the opposite, but... I still bought quite a bit at Taichung. ALAMAK! :S

True that we doesn't have to bring many clothes (and shoes) to Taiwan, we could simply choose when we were there. :) Anyway, it is also depends on a person perception towards clothes they saw actually. I didn't try most of the dresses/ tops I have chosen (thought I could fit in in the first place) and it doesn't fit me well and I am selling off at Candy Love Closet. :D So, lesson learned - must try them on!

The Different Faces of Blackpool, UK. (Complete)

Finally completed my journey through out Black Pool, UK. :)

Beside being thankful to readers who take the effort to read all my past Blackpool entries, I would like to thank Wilson from "Places and Foods" who came forward and invited me to write a guest post about Blackpool with regards to what we could do/ visit within a day at Blackpool, in short - "Day Trip to Blackpool" (Hereinafter referred to as *recommended*)

As you all know, a group of us have traveled one (1) and a half (1/2) hour by train from Liverpool to Black Pool for a day trip. Our time was limited and we only managed to visit a few interesting places (by foot) and such places will be shown below with links under each images shown. In addition to places I have visited, I have attach with other interesting places for day trip to Blackpool too.

- Part 1 : Welcome to Blackpool -

The amazing scenery that we have experienced while we were on our way to Blackpool from Liverpool. There's always something special that we could experience when we travel by land. Non the less, we could enjoy the beautiful scene outside the window compared with traveling by airplane. :)

- Part 2 : The Coastal/ Beach area of Blackpool *recommended* -

I love the beach area which so much interesting outlets from various entertainment centres to a funky photography studios. Besides, the BLACKPOOL TOWER *recommended* behind me is the famous landmark of Blackpool which is still standing proudly for many years. Besides, it is also classified as one of the Top 10 things to do in Blackpool. (Blackpool Tower official website : HERE). I never thought that there are five main attractions beside the external building architecture which inspired by Eiffel Tower of Paris, such as The Eye, The Dungeon, The Circus, The Ballroom and Jungle Jim's Children's Indoor Play.

- Part 3 : Meeting Spiderman and the Simpson Family at Random Outlet -

A random interesting outlet that we managed to drop by and have a look while they caught our eye to have a look inside.

- Part 4 : Italian Inspired Rose Garden in Stanley Park *recommended* -

Stanley Park, being one of the Top 10 things to do in Blackpool and the largest park in Blackpool. It definitely a place of nature lovers or people who seek for a relaxing/ out from the busy area far from town.

- Blackpool Illuminations a.k.a The Lights (source) *recommended* -

I'm in love with the street along the promenade (although I only experienced it during the day) and from what have I understood, Blackpool Illumination is a light festival which held for 66 days in each year from early September to early November (subject to change). Images from reliable source shows the illuminations of Blackpool are amazing with those neon lights. :)

- Madame Tussauds Blackpool (which replaced former Louis Tussauds Waxworks) -

The home to waxworks in Blackpool which located along the promenade. I might not be interested in this one whereby nothing is more important than enjoying the perfect surrounding of a destination visited.

- The Sunset along the promenade/ beach (As seen in Part 2) *recommended * -

Personally, I do love the Sunset and the low tide view at Blackpool, it is beautiful and a great experience that I ever had. :) Hence, I saw the magnificent Blackpool view from the beach too.

And there goes for my things to do for a day in Blackpool. ;)

- Good bye Blackpool -

A fruitful day trip to Blackpool back then with friends. It's about time that we took the train at 9.55pm back to Lime Street Station, Liverpool. Yes, its almost 10.00pm and the sky were still bright during July 2008 and finally I took my dinner without noticing it was late while we were waiting for the train to depart.

The journey ended when we leaved Blackpool. :)

Evening Tea at Muffinz Deli Cafe, Sutera Habour, K.K., Sabah

Evening Tea before attending the Christmas Lighting by Sutera Habour last month.

The event haven started when we arrived at Magellan, Sutera Habour, me and Meatball-Online went to Muffinz for a cup of coffee before the event started. Without Meatball leading the way, I think I will be lost at the hotel compound. -_-

- The Christmas Decoration : Cookies House -

It was located next to the counter for us to take photographs. Those packaged cookies interest me much.

- Various Cakes for selection -

The interior design of Muffinz looks interesting with colourful wallpaper. Besides, it also offer pool table and other board games for children and adults too.

The cake I have mentioned before. Cappuccino taste still okay.

As for the price, for both of that is cost RM26.00+ in total, which is normal to be cost similar for tea at the hotel in town without a hotel membership card.

- The Counter -

Nice environment to chill once in a while. My first visit wasn't that good, maybe I should try the muffins instead on my next visit (if I have one in the future) ;) They told us the muffins was good.

Cakes and coffee... I loving indulgence.

Italian Inspired Rose Garden at Stanley Park, Blackpool, UK (Part 4)

Fourth chapter of journey in Blackpool, UK.

Finally we arrived at the next visiting place after we had walked for about half an hour from the beach area. Our leader lead the way and it is also known as one of the Top 10 must do in Blackpool.

Being one of the well known park in Blackpool - Stanley Park.

And you never know how huge is the park from one end to the other which giving us tiring feet but enjoyable photography session there. :)

- Stanley Park -

Located at Westpark Drive, Blackpool FY3 9QS, United Kingdom.

The Park has been opened since 2nd October, 1926, which is much older than most of us or maybe all of us who are reading this entry.

As large as 256 acres, Stanley Park being Grade II listed and being awarded the Green Flag Award winning municipal park. Besides, it was designed around the Italian garden and is divided into four main areas: The Eastern quarter, The Northern quarter, The Western quarter and the Southern quarter. - (Sources)

And now, random shots that I love about Stanley Park and what caught my attention.

- The huge green field -

It is rare to see such a huge park in Malaysia with the cold air and trees that are so much greener than ours. Among few friends of us, we did some silly poses to represent our excitement to be there. :D

Furthermore, I saw there were dog owners who brought their pets for a walk at the park too! Was trying to take a photo with one of it but the dog was "excited" and scared us. -_-

- Rose Garden -

It came with different sizes and most of it were larger than the usual we sees. One if it almost as large as my face!

I love roses and I think most of the female I knew love roses too. :)

All of the blooming roses do look amazing.

- Squirrels in the neighborhood -

Quite a large one as other animals I could see when I was furthering my studies back then. The swans, the ducks and etc. Those were the most daring squirrels I had accoutered, even I walked closely to one of it, it won't ran off and I managed to take photos with it. haha :D

- Which I look more afraid -

- Relaxing myself on the ground -

It was not my first attempt to sit on the ground when I was studying in UK. I miss that Sun, the green park with all those beautiful surrounding that we sit before. I have posted that photo in my Facebook Page few days ago and I have stated something sound like "Who dare to sit with such a pose in Malaysia?" And one reader replied "He will... but with a mat!" (lol) :D Yes. Reasonable thought.

- He was excited -

A young and adorable boy came forward and found interested in me and friends shooting session, asked him whether we want to take photos with us and he said "YES!" with that cute little face. :)

- Bowling Green -

Such a huge bowling field that we passes by to the other part of the park.

- Outside Parks Art Deco Cafe -

Newly planted roses that look much neater than the grown up one. There is a cafe located nearby, however, we didn't have a drink as our time were limited.

- The Eastern Quarter : Boating Lake -

The Eastern Quarter of Stanley Park contains the lake which is home to many water birds. Besides, we can hire rowing and motorboats to enjoy the scenery around the lake with your love ones.

- Dogs -

All kind of breeds that we could see when we were there. In short, it is a norms to see people bringing their pets around. I do like this breed. :) That's pity when I saw his foot having such wound.

Stanley Park is huge, we didn't managed to walk and visit the whole park which consist of various facilities to the public, such as golf course and others. Despite we took sometime there, it was time for us to leave while drizzling rain falling.

We walked back to the main town while having a rest at Subway and went to the beach while we have some time left before we leave Blackpool.

Less than 30 hours and it's the beginning of another great year (or otherwise?) - Year 2012

To sum up my blogging Year 2011, I shall write a post to remind myself for today. In this period of time (for the year 2011), I met awesome bloggers who eventually become my friends after sometime.

Indeed they are nice, funny, smart and we do have those "clicks" with each others. :)

Some of them featured me at their blogs and now it the time for PAYBACK! lolz :D No la... I really appreciate our friendship okay? :)

Both are bubbly in person! Beverly (left) from "Take Another Step" and Charlotte (right) from "It's that Blogger Charlotte Fong!" (Nice Blogname Charlotte!) ;)

First, Beverly found my blog and I met her at her old working place - Boutique Cupcakes to collect my giveaway that I have won from her blog, After, we were much knowing each other after few times of tea session and indoor rock climbing which she would die for it. (My Gosh!).

While Charlotte, I read her blog once or twice before I met her in person along with Beverly who asked Charlotte out for a short lunch discussion. With all those extra activities like Hennessy Artistry 2011 and Pretty Wild Diva's events, we talked, we laughed. :) (In hearing of partner in crime?)

- Hayden from "Hayden Chan" -

Quite a gentleman in person, once in a while catching up with each other in events (normally just coincidence bumping into him).... which I will be attending them once in a blue moon. :D Both of us do share and helping each other through blogging. ;) An inspiring blogger indeed... with words shared.

- Henry from "CleverMunkey" -

My first Sifu at blogging but he doesn't really agreed with that statement I presume. Once he was back in Sabah and managed to drop by in KK, me and Chloe meet up with him at our famous Yoyo Cafe for a drink. And yea.... A little chit chat and what a small world after all (with mutual friends) and he did shared some tips to gain traffics too! :D Which are super useful!

Commented each others blog and finally meet up with her personally at Hennessy Artistry 2011. She is one happening blogger in Sarawak and she love lomography!

A food blogger from Brunei which I managed to know him through Twitter before we keep in touch more at social network. He came to Kota Kinabalu this month (December 2011) and he was so nice that he baked cookies for all of his friends in Sabah which included ME too! It was crunchy and scrumptious cookies. :) I like it and same goes to my parents who I have gave them for a try.

- Wilson (left) from "Places and Foods" -

One of my new friend who met through blogging. Never meet him in person but we do keep in touch once in a while through social network, he sure is one of the inspiring blogger who visited quite a lot of places and non the less, the foods which he have attempted to. I could only see those photos shared but can't eat. -_-

So yea~ Through out the year with all those comments, opinions and tips shared by them and readers through out the year(s), I think my blog is getting better and better each month, never the less, style of our own is a must have to represent the uniqueness of an individual :). Thanks to them by sharing their thoughts and tips about blogging. (Once I heard, a good blogger wouldn't mind sharing their thoughts and tips to others about blogging - Words by @CleverMunkey.) Thus, I still remember it and I do have friends who asked me about blogging too. :) You know who you are. :P

Meeting with them make me realised that I still have a life of my own within the virtual world and reality. haha :D

Hungarian Cuisine at Chilli Vanilla, KK for Afternoon Tea & Anniversary Dinner!

Something new and it is a hot topics among words of mouth in KK here.

Friend were asking whether I heard about the Hungarian cuisine in town. I would say Yes, I read their reviews before and even went there for a couple of times. It is not a huge cafe but sitting in that cozy space, I felt comfortable and a short chit chat session is nice.

First attempt was having afternoon tea with meatball during one Saturday afternoon. What else could I be doing after 3.00pm after working overtime at the office? :)

- Chilli Vanilla -

- Lemon Grass Tea -

Various tea for selection from Earl Grey Tea to some local tea. :) Besides, they do serve coffee too, but I'm not having one for that day. :)

Once a tourist friend tried their Affogato (Espresso with ice cream) which recommended by the owner and he told us that it taste good after he had his sip.

- Chicken Liver Pate -

I kind of like this one!

Although it's chicken liver, it taste good, the combination of homemade fresh bread and the red vegetable, yes, it taste good indeed.

And we had cake for afternoon tea. How nice?

- Red Velvet Cake *Recommended* -

One of their famous home made cake!

One of my friend was talking about it again and how lucky that I had it during my first visit there. :) We might need to try luck our to see whether the Red Velvet cake is available or not, maybe a phone call to confirm with them is sufficient. ;)

The texture was soft, we could cut the cake without being spoiled and the leftover was all over the places. :)

Very good!

The do serve wine and beer too. Chilling out with friends for secrets at night should be nice. :) Something caught my eye, those chillies hanging on the wall.

They served nicely for an individual portion for each dish served.

Second attempt : On the second week, we booked seats at Chilli Vanilla and celebrated our parents' wedding anniversary. :) There's when we had our dinner and making the lady boss feeling stress like we were the food inspectors. (lol) And there's she recognised me and meatball more. ;)

Below are some of our dishes which I managed to try during my parent's anniversary celebration.

- Calamansi Mojito -

I never tried Mojito before and I dislike it on my first attempt. :S

- The Platter *Recommended* -

I like this one, nice combination with meatballs, fresh baked bread, salad and special sauces. It is a nice selection for finger food.

- Pumpkin Soup @ RM9.90 -

We were having their "Today Special", fresh pumpkin soup with generous amount of pumpkin fillings.

- Assorted Mushrooms @ RM9.90 -

Treat this as a snack should be nice. Taste, still okay. As for the bread, yes, we should try them! Its fresh baked daily!

- Couscous with bread -

Served together with Moroccan Inspired Lamb Stew. Couscous is something like rice for us to consume with side dishes.

- Moroccan Inspired Lamb Stew @ RM15.90 -

Lamb stew by them taste so-so, nothing special to shout out about. ;)

I had a bite of my dad Oxtail Assam Pedas too, which I felt like both lamb stew and Oxtail having similar taste in their cooking.

- Chicken Roulade @ RM 14.80 *Recommended* -

Personally, I love this one! My whole family love it! :) Stuffed with cheese and spinach and more.

- Chocolate Cake * Recommended * -

Certified that Chilli Vanilla serve good desserts!

The texture was nice, creamy and surprisingly a hint of chilli powder inside the cake (Something new). Very nice indeed, we won't feel bored and dislike with some much chocolate consumption at one time. :)

On my recent visit there with family's friends, we tried their brownie serving with ice cream. Oh my, brownies combined with the ice cream, taste heavenly.Besides, they do serve Tiramisu too and I heard that their Cheese Cakes are good. :) Might try them out next time.

Another relaxing place for cakes and coffees in town. :)

I met Simpson Family, Spiderman and Stuart Little at Blackpool, UK (Part 3)

Hey~~ Happy Boxing Day to all. What do you received for this year Christmas present? :D

So today gonna continue with the Third chapter of Day Trip in Blackpool, UK. I'm quite happy that readers love what have I written about Blackpool previously. :)

First of all, I would say shopping in Blackpool was good compared with all those crowds at the outlets in Liverpool City. A calm destination for shopping and shops for quality goodies and non the less the bargain. I bought most of my gifts (clothes/ tops) for my family most of it were from there! Primark, Top Shop, Dorothy Perkins et cetera.

- My newly bought (Back then in Year 2008) Jacket from Miss Selfridge, Blackpool -

I love it and it take care of me when I was studying in UK back then and I still keep them until today... but keep it in my drawer. :P The weather in Malaysia is not suitable for such jacket, anyway I'm gonna take it out before I forget and :D bring it on my next trip in March 2012! :)

Along the street of various outlets, we walked by an animated characters outlet - I didn't noticed the shop's name but those Marvel, Pixar's characters and other interesting characters just caught our eyes. We went in there and asked the nice gentlemen for permission to snap a few photographs and he said YES! :) Never ask, never know ;) All of us was happy and taking photos around and look around.

Besides those, I saw character from "Star War", the Baby from "Family Guy" and so much more.

That's all for our little tour inside there. :) And thank you for the nice gentleman to let us snapping photographs there without purchasing anythings! In a matter of facts, I normally found games outlets in Malaysia selling more on Japanese animation say, characters like Arale, Ranma, One Piece, sexy Japanese animation miniatures and others which differentiate with what I have found in UK. Preference counts anyway.

- The Simpson Family -

So yea~ I "met" the Simpson and his family while watching the public walk by (like a TV screen) through the glass window of the outlet. :D Nothing could stop me to take photo with it before we headed to the next visiting place!

- Street for shopping and foods -

Walking between those shops and streets, I'm just loving those people and what I saw. Everything look nice in UK. Anyway, we did bought souvenirs too! I love to collect key chains and fridge magnets to add on to my mom's refrigerator, even until now which my mom bought few from her China trip.

- Next destination -

Drizzling rain went heavier while we were on our way, we did stop by at Subway to grab a drink and continued our walk to the well known Park of Blackpool.

Finally.... after all those walking....

- Stanley Park -

Say "Hello" to Stanley Park!

Finally we arrived happily at Stanley Park after a long walking distance (a really long one) to the recommended park of Black Pool. Way back then, as a students, all the things we could do was to budget ourselves and by foot we walked here and there. Once in a while, I look back all the photographs, they just amazed me with our strong determination towards... travel. :)

Visiting to Stanley Park will be the next write up on Blackpool. Stay tuned. :)

Survival on Christmas 2011 for me. Speechless.

Merry Christmas Ho Ho Ho~

Hope I'm not late to write a post for my kind of Christmas this year. :) Merry Christmas to all my awesome readers and amazing bloggers who I met personally through events and chill out session. Without you all, my blog won't be expanding until now. :)

My kind of Christmas this year was speechless, didn't had a fest like most of you had. Listening to Michael Buble's Christmas album as my last solution. Sigh... I do miss Christmas carols and KL so badly, especially when I read blogposts about Christmas and friend who flew to KL and other amazing places to celebrate (fml).

Parents and two of mine and both elder sisters were not in town since the day before Christmas Eve (23rd) for wedding dinner at Sarawak and only be back on 25th's.... NIGHT, which leave me no choice but to survive on my own, find my own activities and so on. Maybe some will be asking about Chloe, yea~ She have a plan for herself, never get bored. :P

Terence? A work to complete on Christmas season. :( Oh well~

- Breakfast : Instant Cappuccino and cookies -

As you all know, what do Coffee Addicts will do normally. :D The Pineapple tart were good! All the way from K.L. :)

- Lunch/ Brunch : Instant Noodles and HAAGEN-DAZS! -

I think I never left unaccompanied at home for days before. I was frustrated with things to be cared at home and giving that "Black Face" to Terence. Bought ice cream to make me happy, at least chilled down my mixed feeling of anxious and what so ever. Instant noodle (so lame) to survive for lunch and the sad thing is I even over-cooked them with that microwave. ;'(

Going out for lunch was way jam in town, I'm a house worm :P.

- Belated birthday Gift -

Received gift the day before Eve from Meatball's friend who knew me for a long time. :) At least something to be happy about these days.

- Afternoon : ZenQ for Chill Out Session -

Dated Beverly but she was busy on Christmas Eve and met up with my cousin who was back for holiday from Singapore and FYI, he is a new blogger in town for last minute chill out session at ZenQ which newly operated since last week.

So, now I know how important friends are.

So, how about my Christmas Eve Dinner? Eating Double Mushroom Swiss Set and munching infront of Terence. (lolz) Watching movie from the 90's and went home for next #EssentialDailyDo - Online and countdown with movies again infront of my laptop. Sighhhhh..... And Twitter made me happy during midnight with all those awesome greetings from friends and bloggers.

That's my survival of unhealthiness of foods on this two days. -____- At least I'm still alive and felt like puking over the instant noodle.

And today, Its Christmas, still sitting here infront of my laptop, had Instant noodle for brunch with coffee (:S) and hopefully Terence will call me out for a drink in the afternoon.

In conclusion, Fast food is the last solutions to stay at home. #foreveralone. :P

Hey~ It's Christmas eve, how's everyone doing? :D My day should be okay hopefully, guess will be chilling with my Haagen Dazs green tea ice cream later in the afternoon. :P

It is not the best Chicken Rice shop in Malacca although there's many people having chicken rice from that shop. I must say it was over-rated with all the crowds in and outside of the shop. :(

- Melaka Dutch Square a.k.a. Red Square of Malacca -

Its all about the history. :) I heard it when I was still a primary school student studying history.

- I saw Nyonya Beaded Shoes -

The tradition and I'm loving hand made items. :) Its symbolised the decent way of the Nyonya.

- Jonker Street during the EVENING/ NIGHT -

It's another kind of experience during the night. I felt like walking in to another world (the older world).

- Nyonya Cuisine by Nancy's Kitchen, Jonker Street -

Highly recommended by local people. I like it there.

- Our Stay at Historical Puri Hotel -

My friends/ readers said that the REAL antiques are there. And FYI, it was my first time writing a review about hotel I was staying, which apparently I found it quite meaningful and worthy for a write up.

Hours After Lunch and Before Evening - Feng Jia, TaiChung （逢甲，台中）

Part 2 of Feng Jia, TaiChung!

In previous post, we had a "nice" experience with our brunch at 野澤三 "Ye Ze San" before we explored further about Feng Jia.

Being the largest and happening destination of TaiChung, we will see and found so much of foods, cheap goodies, cheap fashionable items and whatever you might found interesting to bring home and as in, SO MUCH MONEY to buy ALL the nice tempting goodies!

I would like to describe Taiwan as "Shopping Heaven" in short, suitable for younger generation that favour shopping more.

- Adidas Outlet -

FYI, we stayed at Feng Jia area, which we could find designers shoes hereby so much designs that Malaysia could hardy find. Nice to see and I bet the price does not cost cheap too. :S Limited edition some more!

- Arai Cha -

Compared with the beverage and prices with Cha Time of Malaysia (I never tried Gong Cha before), price are much cheaper in Taiwan. RM5.90 for a similar drink in Malaysia, only cost RM3.90 by Arai Cha of Taiwan and same applies to other Taiwan beverage stores/ stalls.

The drink I have shared with Meatball was refreshing with a kind of fruits that is good for digestion and cooling down the body heat.

- Bei Jing Barbeque -

So much food offered while we were happily exploring Taiwan, I found out that Taiwanese just love to eat food like fried, barbeque, noodles and less on rice a.k.a normal meal like us. May I say that they don't really have time for a normal meal, snacks of all kinds made them full (which it was true by referring to a local Taiwanese friend of Doggie's owner.)

- Local University - Feng Jia University -

I saw students walking pass by us at the stall where we were having breakfast on the second day before we leave to explore the tourist destinations! I'm loving Sun Moon Lake of Nan Dao, which I will talk more about it on the later posts.

- Buy all you CAN! -

- Shopping -

Ice Hippo's Owner said she love TaiChung more on their shopping which are much cheaper then Taipei. :P But I LOVE TAIPEI MORE! Oh... I still love the scenery of Taiwan. :)

- Street of Feng Jia -

It might look nothing special during the day, but the night... The whole place is CRAZY and flooded with human sea!!

So there's our after brunch with shopping and a little exploration of day time at Feng Jia before evening (the time we explored the night life), I bought few tops and accessories that I love! Quite happy though but I hate the weather.. It's summer and it was freaking warm when I visited there. :( Not cool at all~

We went back to the room that we have rented and had a short rest before we continue exploring the night life of Feng Jia, one kind of experience which not much of us could see!

- The well known Big Sausage cover Small Sausage （大肠包小肠）-

They love it, but I was not in love with it. -__- And yet, must try ALL FAMOUS LOCAL DELICACIES when we travel and act as if we are the locals too!! I like it feels.

After visiting Feng Jia Night Market.. My conclusion is, freaking awesome with varieties of foods (likes and dislikes), which I found them.... hmm... not much of us would love it. ;) So much of an oily food.

So okay, stop right there and...

Another Tea Session with Santola Bar Cafe, K.K.

Another tea session by Meitzeu. :)

It has been such a long time I didn't update about my tea session around places I went right? Just the same old reason with so much events and things to blog about. :P

Previously, I had read about reviews and went through friends photographs and found out that Santola Bar serving quality coffee and additional ala cart for cakes and Nasi Lemak. Well, my manager went to the place and found it quite interesting with their interior design with the cafe and the building. So, that's interest me more to visit it with my family on that Saturday.

- Santola Bar Cafe -

Located in the same building together with Cap Kuda, our local Coffee Brand here in Kota Kinabalu.

At my first sight when I reached the cafe, I was a little surprised that the building actually is only a normal white building with the brand "Cap Kuda" from the main entrance. Look closely, we found the name "Santola Bar". :)

Get ourselves started, meatball, mom and Chloe sat down, "surveyed" the menu.

- The Bar -

Well equipped bar for coffee making, cakes and Sandwiches. That's really good. Surprisingly, it's so much different from the outside of the building.

-Coffee + Toast Combo Set at RM5.00 -

Reasonable for a simple breakfast during the day. We had two sets of it, black coffee drank by my mom and meatball. Coffee tasted well with pure coffee flavour.

- Cappuccino -

Amused me, I FOUND COFFEE ART!!

- Cheese Cake -

A nice cup of coffee and a slice of cheese cake, taste heavenly. :)

- Nasi Kuning -

Meatball had it and it was GOOD! Nasi Kuning smells good with it fragrant and I have tried it for one or two bite. However, it was quite a small portion for an individual to have it.

That's conclude my short morning tea session. OH! No, suppose to be morning coffee session. :P A nice place to chill from the city. :) Nice selection of venue which many of us do not noticed that Kolombong have such a nice place for coffee.

I Saw Little Sea Turtles in Kota Kinabalu (Turtle Conservation Campaign 2011)

I suppose to be at mom's shop on every Saturday (its a norms) but during the first week of this month, Meatball, mom and others went to the train station to experience the North Borneo Railway Steam Train which they have been planned earlier.

Leave me no choice, but to tag along my eldest sister who got the invitation to attend the Turtle Conservation Campaign by Sabah Park which held at Suria Sabah for the first time in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah before meatball ended her trip!

- Turtle Conservation Campaign 2011 -

First of all, I want to ask how many of my readers are nature lover? I know I am most of the time and I hate people who destroy our lovely environment! Definitely I will nag friends who not supportive in protecting our environment.

Anyway, the event turned out to be a nice and meaningful event that I have attended, especially when we saw all the cute little turtle that have been given their "freedom". :)

- Booths for awareness -

Activities and games for the public to join in addition to the launching of the turtle conservation campaign later.

- Each block contains information about sea turtles -

For sea turtles species, their life cycle from hatching to mating, ways to preserve them, protect them, the news where sea turtles were caught by fishermen for personal gain and others.

- The Main Stage -

The logo of the campaign was a cute with cartooned sea turtle!

Launching ceremony started with invited guests made their speech, some of the speech was time consuming but with a lot of information on protecting our marine life, not only Sea Turtles. ;)

- Goodies Bag -

Environmental friendly recycle bag with cute Sea Turtle logo. I found a thin booklet of conserving the Sea Turtles, similar information like stated on the blocks on earlier photograph, Sticker and others.

- The Authority -

Speech ended and the VIPs whom officially launched the Turtle Conservation Campaign by giving freedom to the turtle and letting them being set free to the "sea" (as in an man made aquarium with sand and sea water).

- So cute! -

I never saw real baby sea turtle that crawled in front of me! They were adorable, not many of us could resist it. :P The funny thing is the turtle was crawling here and there before it swim in the water. I think it was blurred before they being set free.

- Photo Session -

I wanted to touch them, but the aquarium was surrounded with the red belts and NO TOUCHING anymore. :( I saw other people hold them before. :( The turtle can't turn itself over (not moving either) and I thought it was died when I see it closer) -__-

- The crowd to see the baby turtles -

Everyone was excited but do they play a roll in conserving the marine creature?

Cut down those consumption of sea turtle eggs people! Be supportive.

Thus, we need to protect our environment, it's the cycle of this earth. Safe the creatures of this earth, increasing number of them are facing extinction issues, let our children to see this beautiful world with unique living creatures that left until their generation. :)

I Found Bak Kut Teh 100% Klang （口香巴生正压肉骨茶） in Cheras, KL!

During one of my night in drizzling rained KL, another friend of my mom brought us to try the/ one of the famous Bak Kut Teh (BKT) at Cheras. Interesting food trip eh!

BKT seems famous now-a-days, even many new stalls are newly operated here and there!

- Bak Kut Teh 100% Klang （口香巴生正压肉骨茶）* NON HALAL * -

Uncle (Mom's friend) said that their BKT was surprisingly sold out within few hours after their daily operation starts. And luckily, we managed to try out the nice Bak Kut Teh within KL (and its raining, so less people eating there) and not by traveling as far as Klang (from Bukit Bintang, KL) to eat the authentic Klang Bak Kut Teh.

I heard awesomeness reviews about BKTs at Klang though, I would really love to try it out some day.

Others such as Mushrooms Chicken Feet and Vegetables which normally will be attached together with Bak Kut Teh sellers, even in KK. :D

How to know BKT nice or not. :/ The remedies is in the SOUP!! When the bowl of soup is good, every bites we had will be good! About BKT 100% Klang, its quite good actually, especially during a wet night.

In facts, I knew West Malaysian eat BKT during the day too, which a bit odd for us here in KK. haha :D

A Kiss and a Walk at Coastal Area of Blackpool, UK (Part 2)

Second chapter of Blackpool and First chapter is HERE!

Walking along the streets, enjoying the scenery of buildings, I do like it and after a while we reached the coastal area of Blackpool. Second chapter is all about the Coastal area. :) Enjoy.

- #1 Approximately 12.00pm -

Rough sea with sea water covered the sand. And never knew it will become the other way when the day getting darker. What I meant is for the last few photos shared. :)

Don't get anxious, just enjoy reading my words and photos one by one to the end.

- The Sea View of Blackpool -

- Street along Coastal area -

It is an interesting part of Black Pool whereby the authority beautified it into an entertainment place for tourists and locals. And after years till now, I saw juniors who visited Blackpool had great fun with all the great entertainments there with all the games, activities and entertainers.

- The Blackpool Tower -

Where we could see it from almost every corner of Blackpool's main City.

The first part of exploring the Coastal area while it was raining, without further delay we went to shopping, lunch and explore the City of Blackpool. We went to Stanley Park and one of the interesting outlet in town and further in depth story will be updated in the future. :)

Beautiful flowers, naughty pet dogs and etc. Quite an interesting experience that we actually WENT TO THE GREEN PARK where flowers and trees were there. :D Old times. :') Walked so far from the town to Stanley Park and its raining. I don't know how I did that.

- Coral Island (Entertainment Centre) -

Its almost time to return to Liverpool and our train will be departing at 9.55pm. We do have a little spare of time and we walked slowly along the coastal area, visit the jetty and took awesome photographs with friends for remembrance.

And I do remember the Coral Island, where I have lose my 1 pound (About RM7.00 during Year 2008) on the "gambling machine", I called it the machine for non gambler (lol).

- Beach of Blackpool (The Coastal area at 8.00PM) -

By looking at these photos, I'm sure that it's impossible to make you believe that it was approximately 8.00pm. And I, myself never knew I had my dinner at 10.00pm when it was STILL BRIGHT (like evening here in Malaysia).

Remember the #1 (picture) I have shared? It's actually the same coastal area during the evening and it was Blackpool beach! Unbelievable! They told me that during the evening/ night, they will be using it for entertainment usage for events and others. Creative concept ei~ :) Definitely the concept is ready now since I took the photos years ago.

- Low Tide of the Sea -

I think I saw couple walking, people jogging when there's low tide.

- Low tide until that extend -

That was my first time to experience such a low tide in my whole life. And becoming the beach in the evening is interesting. :)

- Eye on Black Pool -

It's a Merry-Go-Round which is an usual activities around UK. Places like London and Manchester do have it, especially in the main City. Hmm~ I wonder Liverpool have it or not? I didn't came across with it when I was there on that period of time.

Its difficult to imagine, feels and know how was Blackpool Sea with all those photos sharing right?

I have never shared these videos since years ago, it is the amateur videos of mine that I wanted to save it for myself at the fist place, but... so what if I kept it for myself and never share to others. So here's the edited one I have done! ;)

I've Experienced the Lunar Eclipse on 10.12.2011 from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Happened last night, approximately starting from 8.45pm when the Moon was covered a bit of its corner.

I thought it was the cloud covered it, but its getting darker from a corner of the Moon after a while.

At first, I was foreseeing the eclipse since 7.45pm (which has been told earlier), I was a little disappointed but after an hour later after my short Yum Cha session, I saw the Moon slowly eclipsed.

It was amazing and the thick and cloudy sky did not stop me from shooting the ECLIPSE!

- Approximately 8.55pm -

Everything went wrong with my G12, I took it without setting the right mode, I've forget which setting that I suppose to shoot it with while I was at my house's garage shooting it.

Warm weather turned off me, I almost forgo the chance of experiencing the lunar eclipse and after I had a look outside my bedroom window and the Moon was at the correct spot! And there goes my eclipse photos shooting again. :) A few attempts with my G12 setting, everything were getting better and better.

I'm quite lucky that I managed to shoot photos of it while friends around might not experienced it like I do.

Yes. Indeed the cloud last night was so think and we could hardly see the Moon in clear vision, especially when the cloud was moving.

- Approximately 9.30pm -

The moon almost "disappeared" by that time and I had my rest too. :)

It simply a beau last night but I wonder why I didn't see the Moon became red? :/ I wonder. I took a peep around 11.30pm and I saw a bit of the moonlight, it was on top of my house's roof, which I can't view it like before. :(

Anyway, it just AMAZING! How was your night hunting with the Moon?

Walk to Petaling Street （茨厂街） & Sze Ngan Chai （四眼仔） Roasted Duck, KL!

It is no more a new tourist spot for all during our visit to KL.

The China Town of Malaysia - Petaling Street (Jalan Petaling).

Chinatown at UK and other places such as Toronto, Canada, do have similar architectural when it comes to building the billboard like below with Chinese words and local words to represent the place.

Somehow I still remember a bit bit of my childhood memory with family for KL trip for the first time when I visit this place now.

- Petaling Street, KL -

The place have upgraded (facelift) since the first time I have visited KL back in the 90's.

- Low cost seller? -

HELL NO!@ Not an advisable spot for people like us to visit here, which out of the compound of the Street Billboard. I heard drug addicts and thefts are there to sell off those items (eg. phones, old things) they have stolen! That's really scary.

And here....

- Sze Ngan Chai （四眼仔） Roasted Duck -

Years after years since her parents were there selling the roasted ducks, while my parents love buying their roasted ducks since young (say, back in 80's/ 90's). Every time when my parents visited them over the year and each time to KL, the nice lady do remember/ recognises my parents.

Their roasted ducks are the most tastiest roasted duck that I have ever tried! The whole duck is fat with meat! Satisfying our taste buds!

Loving it so much!

- 鸭脚包 (Direct translation : Duck Feet Bun) -

It looks like a bun, but it is not made of flour. Since my colleague told me that it was tasty, so I bought one to try it immediately (my dad bought back to KL before, and he made it hot again, it taste bad), originally taste good, but too much of the huge liver, I felt worst with it and I need to finish it. My gosh!

Meatball was there, had some bites and she was dizzy during the night, too much cholesterol for her age she said. Once or twice should be fine, too much.... NO!

- Sze Ngan Chai （四眼仔） Roasted Duck -

- The Roasted Ducks -

And this morning, my mom was counting how many fat ducks she will be buying during January 2012 when she will be visiting KL and Malacca again, giving those ducks to my relatives, uncles, aunties as one of the Chinese tradition this year! It a norms during festive season. :)

We could find fruits, nice Malaysian delicacies like Char Kway Teow and Teh C (Milk Tea), fake branded goodies and more cheap and interesting goodies! Anyway, just see for yourself when you visit there! During the night will be more happening! (Which I never been there during that time.)

It's MyDay Today and Yesterday was Christmas Lighting at Sutera Harbour!

Combining two subjects in one post because I'm way too "efficient" that I could not finish my pending posts that piled since weeks ago and it is after all - DECEMBER! It's the busiest month of a year!

- Sneak Peek on My Gifts -

From colleague, friend and family member! Was eyeing on Vera Wang Fragrance which freaking expensive since long and finally! :D Crabtree & Evelyn Jewellery Box from a friend of my mom which arrived all the way from KL just on time for my birthday! :D I love all my gifts! :)

It's a simple birthday which I had for today, a lunch with dearest colleagues and a dinner with Terence and now, at home writing this entry. ;P

- Invited Guest of Christmas Lighting at Magellan Sutera Harbour -

So yea~ Another Christmas Lighting that I have attended last night with Meatball-Online. Mom told me that I will be replacing her to attend the event directly after work from the office and we have to wear red theme attires too! :)

- There's cocktail served before and Buffet Dinner served later -

Guests will be chit chatting while having cocktail before the Ceremony started.

Datuk Yee Moh Chai and wife were there to light up the tree!

And we heard angelic voices singing after the whole tree was lighted.

Completed the lighting of the tree and children from Desa Pukak Hostel were there to entertain us with their angelic voice. Impressed indeed and all of us were having fun listening to the caroling! FYI, short Kadazan/ Dusun language was added in one of the songs too. :D NICE!

Caroling ended and its time for me and my sister to leave and continue my night at home and dinner for her. :)

Awhh~ I'm loving Christmas Season. :')

When Sushi meets Pasta at Pasta Zanmai, Mid Valley Megamall, KL!

On the second day after we have reached KL from our Malacca trip, mom planned to meet up my cousin, her niece, my nephews, my niece etc. Made you blur not? :D In short, my relatives in KL. :)

My family and I went to Mid Valley after my cousin fetched us from the hotel, we had a walk before we went for our lunch which all/ most of us agreed with - SUSHI & SALMON. The kids totally loving those!

- Pasta Zanmai, Mid Valley Megamall -

Nice combination of Japanese cuisine and Italian cuisine that Pasta Zanmai came up with.

It was my first attempt though, some dishes tasted so so and most of them quite interesting. :) The thing I hate the most is the crowd which we have to wait for a longggggg waiting list, especially with a number of people of us. -________-

A Cozy Night to be - Christmas Lighting Dinner at Bella Italia, Jln Gaya, KK.

Few more weeks to Christmas and few more days to my birthday. I'm excited about Christmas and maybe little (or nothing) for my birthday but Hmm :S maybe can't expect too much though. :( In a matter of facts, my Christmas will be so much lonely than ever this year.

Oh well~ Was tagging along with Meatball and her friend to attend the Christmas Lighting Dinner by Bella Italia on Tuesday, 29th November with the invitation by the Chef Leo while Terence was busying with his work.

- Bella Italia, Mediterranean inspired cuisine in Borneo, Jalan Gaya -

It wasn't my first visit to Bella Italia. :) And still, they are having the nice and cozy restaurant as usual with Christmas songs played by pianist at the corner of the restaurant.

Ignore that huge macaron, it's belongs to Meatball friend which she brought there to let us see. :P

Cookies and hot chocolate to start with before our dinner.

The dinner was held with a warmth menu which includes the dishes that Chef Leo would love to introduce and served during the All You Can Eat Dinner at RM65.00 as seen on their Facebook Page for the Christmas Promotion (click) they will be having.

Besides, Christmas Set Menu for 4 - 6 persons was ready for these festive season too. :) And there's one of our plan for our family to celebrate "Winter" season before Chinese New Year.

This morning, Meatball and THP's crew woke up early to attend the wonderful trip with our local North Borneo Railway Steam Train from Tanjung Aru (KK) - Putatan - Kinarut - Kawang - Papar and back to again to KK.

Native Performance at Sun Moon Lake （日月潭）, Taiwan

A video of the day for all...

I have never regretted that I step my foot on the ground of Sun Moon Lake of Taichung, Taiwan. Enjoying the beautiful scenery, the performance and non the less, the native handsome and beauties, they do interest me much to know more about their culture. :)

I managed to took a short video of them on my trip and here is it. Maybe some of you don't understand what they are singing, but I'm sure you will love it too. =3

Heard that beautiful voice singing? They said she is the Princess of the native village. =3

Their voice was beautiful and exotic with meaningful lyrics to be sang and FYI, many of the famous artists from Taiwan are natives too! Anyway, I'm regret that I didn't buy any of the CDs while I was there and maybe I should ask my friends to purchase the CD on behalf of me if one of them manage to be there in the future.

Everyone was enjoying themselves listening to the beautiful voice and performance by the handsome and beauties, but do they noticed that they were performing to earn for a living too? So... Yes, meatball did give small token of appreciation to them and they were happy when she did that! :)

All the best to all of them and I wish to buy their CDs soon!

My First Brunch in Taiwan was "INTERESTING" at 野澤三 "Ye Ze San", Feng Jia, Taichung （台中）

After we had settled our do and don't, we left our luggages at the room provided, we waited for our Singaporean friends who came later than us (Malaysian) before we officially started our Feng Jia （逢甲）walkabout.

Singaporean friends reached, luggages in place, rooms okay and the first thing we do is to search for...

LOCAL FOOD! THE NOODLES/ SLURPY SOUP! =3

*Quite excited before *

- Day time at Feng Jia -

At a place like Feng Jia, it is well known for its night market which normally started during the evening. I was quite surprised when I saw less shops were opened during the day when we were searching for our brunch nearby.

Searching.... for food..... What to eat we were wondering...... Yea~ We found it and most of us were hungry since we have reached Taiwan!

- 野澤三 "Ye Ze San" -

You know what? I was cracking my head to think and searching for the middle Chinese word (the "Ze" and My Chinese a bit sucks in fact) until I've asked for friends to help me with it, luckily they knew the word. :)

Any way, I could not agree more that Taiwan is 90% and almost 99% are presented all in Chinese words which I have to ask Meatball to help me with "How to read that? How to read this?" and non the less, there's less direct translation or PinYin translation to a more understandable version.

Oh well, there's a noodle shop that caught our eyes and we have went in and have a seat.

- Menu with varieties of selection -

By looking at the menu, I knew how's that felt when a person do not know Chinese language. I do have friends who experienced such and he/ she need a TRANSLATOR to the RESCUE!! :D

Chicken Chop, Pork Chop, Beef Chop served with rice or noodles, Cheese Toasts and other appetizers for selection too.

I was interested in trying Soup and I had a bowl of Beef Noodle Soup which was... Hmm :S "Interesting Enough".

- Century Egg with Tofu -

Interesting appetizer with Century Egg, Cold Tofu and additional of special sauce. Nice Taiwanese appetizer to try with for the first time. Personally, I tried Cold Yellow Tofu with Black Soy Sauce prepared by my uncle, maybe you could prepare it too! Its EASY!

- Pan Fried Beef Noodle -

From the way they have presented, I think they taste nice too! My sister's friend said it taste quite Okay and it is acceptable by us, Malaysian.

- Beef Noodle Soup -

The bowl of noodle I had during my brunch which I couldn't forget. -____- It was extraordinary which I had this kind of cooking for the first time in my life. Beef Noodle with Bamboo Shoot (Its Bamboo Shoots season during that period of time) and it makes the whole soup smells odd and taste odd too! I can't finish my bowl of noodle and Eww~ Unacceptable type of cooking for me.

FYI, for those who were having their period, please do not eat Bamboo Shoot at the period of time. DEFINITELY YOU WILL REGRET!! As for me, I was in that condition during my trip, no wonder my period did not stop even until the 8th day of the trip and even I have returned to K.K. O_O And even pregnant women are not advisable to eat Bamboo Shoot in Chinese philosophy, because its too "Cold" to be consume and it might lead to miscarriage. :(

- Chicken Chop with Noodle Soup -

The usual Chicken Chop which was acceptable by us! As for the noodle.... Could you see the yellowish ingredient next to the large spoon? Its BAMBOO SHOOT again!! Odd smell and flavour as considered.

- 野澤三 "Ye Ze San" -

The main entrance of the restaurant we were having our brunch on the day we have arrived Taiwan.

Finished our brunch and had a short walk with shopping in outlets nearby. Besides, we had a huge cup of drink with reasonable price (lower than similar outlets like Malaysia's Chatime and whatever) and it taste refreshing. :) No worry, desserts and beverages in Taiwan are amazing, just try whichever interest you much and you would love and never regret about it! =3

- Fashionable goodies with CHEAP PRICE! -

It was a good deal for young generation and stylish people now a days, no wonder I have friends who love to visit Taiwan frequently to purchase their stocks.

No matter how was the shopping I was having (purchased or not), I will look around and I found interesting stuffs that I have came across at Feng Jia...

- "勿丢垃圾，再丢就翻脸" -

Direct translation of the word directed to the most left with red wordings on the card board -

"Do not throw rubbish, if throw again, I will be pissed"

Do you dare to throw rubbish to his/ her stall? LOLZ :D

They told us Blackpool was nice - Journey to Blackpool, UK (Part 1)

This the first (1st) part of my journey to Blackpool, UK during the Year of 2008.

They told us that Blackpool was a nice place to visit back then and as a group of students who went to further our studies, we did actually planned and visited there with a long distance transportation (train) early in the morning with a duration of 1 and a half hour journey from Lime Street Station, Liverpool at 9.55am.

- Lime Street Station, Liverpool -

Besides travelling by train, we could opt for travelling by Bus with a duration of 3 HOURS!! Which I don't recommend it, unless you love to enjoy road trip and the scenery around.

Actually we went for the trip that my group of friends have planned, instead of visiting the Chester, where there's the shopping paradise which is much nearer to Liverpool. Clever us. :P

I can't find a nice photo to share here besides this one with that odd smiling face. Behind is the railway heading to wherever people might be heading to.

And after we had a short photo session with my group of friends, we get a nice seat in the train and wait for the moment to leave Liverpool!

- Nice Weather and Friendly Housing area -

Its just look the same like what I've seen from the television, no gates like usual Malaysian housing areas have. I really admires their lifestyle, the weather and more. But I guess I'm not suitable to be staying there during Winter (which I could imagine of), my nose was bleeding when I first arrived UK while the weather was changing from Spring to Summer and while returning to Malaysia when the weather was changing again from Summer to Autumn.

Looking from far away, I was wondering why was the green field was covered by white cottons things or a mixture of black things. :S Only then I knew it was the sheep and cows which laying on the field and doing what they love to so. :D Its fluffy and cute! Wait till you see the real sheep with colour sprayed on them to make it easier to be recognised.

- Welcome to Blackpool North -

Finally we arrived at Blackpool at 11.30am. :) before the rain felt.

- On our way to the coastal area -

While we were walking from the station to the coastal area, we found out that it was quite creepy whereby Blackpool was quite quiet during the day. And guess what? I even saw homosexual as in Gay and Lesbian posters hanging outside the clubs and phone booths. -__- Totally unacceptable by ME! O_O

- Have a ride on the Wagon? -

I saw similar one in Liverpool too . :) However, I didn't have the chance to have a ride on it.

One facts that we should know about Blackpool, it was famous of the homosexual lifestyle and we could see quite a number of similar outlets selling sex toys and sexy lingerie and other than that, its easy to search for entertainment outlets which combines with Casinos!

- I found Yates in Blackpool too! -

I tried the foods served by Yates in Liverpool and I love the green beans UK have, its sweet compared with ours here in Malaysia which normally tasteless after being frozen. Those are few of my friends who I have knew them since my Advanced Diploma course in College. :) Nice and fashionable friends indeed.

Alright, we were heading to the coastal area to "meet"....

Yup! Blackpool Tower is one of the trademark of Blackpool. :) And I will talk more about it will on the Part 2 of my journey to Blackpool. ;) So, stay tuned and be prepared to join in the fun reading and browsing through all the photos sharing!

They prepared the FRESH mashed potato with SPECIAL RECIPE AND SAUCE. Oh my~ Its drooling when the mashed potato served was smooth like hot ice cream! :D

Taste of Unexpected Nyonya Colours at The Gardens Mid Valley, KL

When there's KL trip with family, we can't run away from shopping at Mid Valley!

And had a walk through the linkage at the basement between The Gardens and Mid Valley, my dad caught his eye at Nyonya Colours. =D While I was looking for some accessories at the stalls outside that cafe/ restaurant. *My dad just love to EAT!*

- Nyonya Colours -

Dad selected some local cakes from Nyonya Colours without noticed by me and my mom and shared those among three of us and found it.... Mmm~ Not bad actually. (My first trial)

And during the official visit there (sit inside the restaurant for Kopi O session), we selected few local cakes for our tea session and ordered their coffee.

- Nyonya Kiuh (cakes) -

From the prices stated there, it is reasonable to have such at such a high class area. =) And although the so much cakes were there when I took photographs, people keeps coming in for take away and add on for their coffee, the cakes just sold off in a bit.

- Nyonya Kiuh (cakes) -

We tried their local delicacies and like it much, the ingredients added (say evaporate milk ie Ideal Milk or added with Coconut Milk) made those cakes having smooth texture while munching them.

Besides, I heard their Laksa was nice too! Didn't have the chance to try it during my last visit. :( Next time should be in my list of must eat :P)

- The Coffees -

Both of them look unattractive with their colours on the first sight, and after I have tried (and my dad too). Our eyes goes O_O!! Unpredictable ZOMG, the coffee taste so bitter, although the colour of their drinks seen thin! In short, Coffees were GOOD! (For those who like thick coffee flavour). ;)

- Glutinous Rice with Sambal -

Sambal taste were good by having that spicy flavour, just like those we could find at Pasar Malam. :P

The special ingredients to make Malaysian food taste good! =D So cheap and nicely packed!

Overall impression were well designed with Nyonya inspiration with those chair, tables and internal appearance. Well done for them! :)

This time around, there's so much of discounts/ sales happening here and there, especially shopping malls that made us broke in the end if we cant resist those tempting discounted items!

Besides, nothing important to make myself happy and be loved by all of my collection. :)

- Summer Hill Vanity Case and Rosewater Round Hat Box -

7 Days of Sales (20th Nov, 2011 - last day) for 30% off for members while 20% off for non members. OMG! And I managed to influenced my colleagues! :D

Varieties of selections from the catalog and all of them were tempting (*relief* luckily I didn't went to the outlet last week, or else I will be broke by now =D), especially with those pretty boxes that I love the most! I would like to buy their Jewellery Box series, so maybe next time. :)

- Summer Hill Vanity Case -

When there's new case added into my collection, I have added all new goodies, similar free bottled gifts of other brands and unused new items into that case (with a zip attached somemore!)! It is nice to see when there's a "home" for my things. :)

- Rosewater Round Hat Box (before being converted) -

My hat box which I have bought sometime around... say May/ June? :/ has been converted into a box for my hair clips, hair bands and some other hair accessories for now. Unexpectedly, my box is FULL! And the box is quite large though. :P

A night of Thai Cuisine for dinner that I never forget about at a city named K.L.

The Tom Yum, the appetizer... Those tasted heavenly with those spices flavouring blended in together.

- Celadon Royal Thai Cuisine -

Meatball dated a friend of hers to dine with us around Pavilion KL, and we never expected we could meet our local people from Sabah at the restaurant, the manager and the staff were nice to us and seems happy to see us dining in there. :)

They introduced the best dishes ever!

- Internal Design -

Well designed with a glimpse of modernised style, it is quite a nice place for dinner and feeling like a "royalty" while having dinner in the restaurant.

- Mieng Kam (RM19.90) -

Interesting Thai styled appetizer. With all the raw and roasted ingredients such as lime, peanuts, onions and etc filled into the betel leaves (Daun Kado) prepared and adding the Thai sauces provided, its quite special and just nice! I ate few and I simply love it. Less spicy dish as a starter for the night.

- Mieng Kam -

Stuffed all those ingredients in to the betel leaf which we requested the nice Sabahan waitress to teach us.

- Deep Fried Prawn (RM18.90) -

- Thai Iced Tea (RM12.00) -

I didn't tried this, it was ordered by Meatball's friend. I bet it taste good too!

- Lemon Grass Tea (RM10.00 per pot) -

Awh~ I love this and I like the elephant figured pot too (same with my mom)! =D Refreshing taste of lemon grass flavour, quite smooth to drink with. Besides, perfect drink to soothes the HOT flavoured Thai Cuisine after having them.

- Asparagus with Prawns (RM19.90) and Pineapple Fried Rice (RM17.90) -

- Thick Tom Yum Celadon (RM22.90) -

I totally love this one! It was extremely HOT flavoured Tom Yum and made me mouth numb. So much of ingredients such as Oysters, Scallops, fresh prawn and more. Sad to say that I can't finish it because we ordered so much and if I could finish that Tom Yum, I WILL!

I hope that I could have the second try on my next trip to KL! AND I love Pavilion KL for shopping, Forever 21, Parkson, Tangs, The Loaf.. O_O

- Home made Tofu with Thai Sauce (RM16.90) -

Thai Sauce was HOT!! With the combination of soft Tofu, it was one spicy Tofu to have. WoW~ I did took away the Thai Sauce of the tofu and just took the tofu instead.

- Dessert @ RM11.90 each Coconut -

We shared 3 coconuts among five of us. Its a refreshing Thai styled dessert after our royal dinner! Our dessert combining Coconut Water with milk and filings, Jack fruits, chestnuts and more, it tasted simply refreshing. Not too sweet either, something special consisted in the dessert, the red one although look like watermelon, but it was not. hmm =/ I think it was the chestnut.

Satisfying dinner for five of us will be RM580.00 and we paid less than that after discount. Thanks to the nice manager. :)

One of the best selection for our dinner on our May 2011 trip (KL and Malacca). Didn't regret about it and Celadon Royal Thai Cuisine will be one my favourite in KL.
